About CSCA

The Cobb School Counselor Association (CSCA) is a non-profit organization focused on advancing the profession of School Counseling, promoting an improved understanding and appreciation of school counseling services, fostering a spirit of unity, cooperation, support, and fellowship among counselors, providing opportunities for professional development, encouraging cooperation with other professionals interested in human services, establishing and maintaining connections between Cobb School Counselor Association and the community.

CSCA was formed during the 1984-85 school year by over sixty counselors from the Cobb School System.  During the first year, membership was expanded to include counselors in the Marietta City School System and counselors in private schools and colleges in Cobb County.

CSCA is instrumental in providing Cobb and the surrounding area school counselors a platform to drive student success through collaboration, leadership, and data-driven, comprehensive school counseling programs while building a community that understands and values the positive impact of the profession.

Our mission is to connect, strengthen, and empower school counselors through professional development, raising awareness, and gaining support within the community by highlighting the benefits, contributions, and positive impact school counselors have on student success.
