The Cobb School Counselor Association (CSCA) is a nonprofit professional organization dedicated to advancing the school counseling profession and supporting school counselors throughout Cobb County and surrounding areas. CSCA promotes awareness and appreciation of comprehensive school counseling programs while fostering collaboration, professional growth, leadership, and a strong sense of community among school counselors.
Through high-quality professional development, networking opportunities, advocacy, scholarships, grants, and community partnerships, CSCA empowers school counselors to better serve students and families. CSCA also encourages collaboration with other professionals who share a commitment to supporting the academic, career, and social-emotional success of all students.
CSCA was founded during the 1984–1985 school year by more than 60 counselors from the Cobb County School District. Within its first year, membership expanded to include school counselors from Marietta City Schools, private schools, colleges, and universities throughout Cobb County. Today, CSCA brings together school counseling professionals from across Cobb County and surrounding areas, serving as a trusted resource, a collaborative professional network, and a strong advocate for the school counseling profession.
CSCA is instrumental in providing Cobb and the surrounding area school counselors a platform to drive student success through collaboration, leadership, and data-driven, comprehensive school counseling programs while building a community that understands and values the positive impact of the profession.
Our mission is to connect, strengthen, and empower school counselors through professional development, raising awareness, and gaining support within the community by highlighting the benefits, contributions, and positive impact school counselors have on student success.
